COVID-19 Information
In these challenging times, there have been some changes to the mass services.
The Spanish phrase originally commended one to God. In current usage it means farewell but no good-bye. The ramifications of retirement have yet to sink in! I have been living up the street at St. Mary of the Assumption Rectory for many months and will continue to live there. It was almost 15 years ago, February 2, 2007, that I was transferred from St. James in Haverhill to Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church. In some ways the time has flown by, and other ways no. I was confronted with different cultures, languages, etc. One of the things that stands out is the number of committed volunteers. As St. James I had to practically beg parishioners to join the Parish Council. Here we have so many potential council members the we have to draw lots. I hope the volunteer spirit continue as the parish transitions into a shrine. This will be a work in progress for the time being. I encourage your patience and cooperation with the Franciscans of the Primitive Observance. I wish you well and will keep you in my prayers. I thank you for your support of the parish and to me personally. If I have offended anyone during my time here, I ask your pardon.
May God bless you all,
Fr. Frank Mawn
