LENT
This Wednesday, February 17th, is Ash Wednesday, and the beginning of the Lenten season. Masses will be celebrated in English at 12:05 and 6:30pm, and 7:30pm in Spanish in the upper church. There will not be Stations of the Cross this year because of the pandemic. We all continue to use masks, keep social distancing and wash our hands frequently. Ashes will be distributed using Q-tips to mark our foreheads. Remember there should be distancing [six feet] when entering or exiting the church. We also have booklets for each household which will be distributed as you leave the church.
ASH WEDNESDAY COLLECTION ENVELOPES
The Archdiocese has scheduled the annual collection for the Catholic Charities on Ash Wednesday.
THANK YOU
On behalf of the parish, I want to thank the Spanish Charismatic Prayer Group for their $1,300 donation to the parish from the Virtual Concert they had.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
The pandemic has had direct impact on religious education. The Archdiocese is sponsoring a virtual learning program for pre-school through grade 5: projectnazareth. There are instructions in our website of how you can access the program.
